From March 13 to March 17, 2023, the 9th German CanSat competition took place in Bremen. Ten teams of students from all over Germany tested their self-built CanSats for five days and simultaneously gained insights into the aerospace industry in Bremen. In addition to financial sponsors, such a large event naturally requires manpower. EUROAVIA Bremen had the honor of supporting the 9th German CanSat competition as an official partner with the help of volunteers. Two members accompanied the students throughout the entire event, ensuring a smooth process. The highlight of the week was the launch of the CanSats at the Rotenburg airfield. Four members of EUROAVIA Bremen assisted in coordinating safety on the apron and the recovery of landing CanSats on that day.
One of the participating teams was also accompanied throughout the entire campaign by the program “Die Sendung mit der Maus” (The Show with the Mouse).
It was an honor for us to contribute to the promotion of young talent in German space exploration, and we look forward to the next year.
